ELIGIBILITY:

Custer High School graduates or former CHS students who have earned a GED or will have earned a GED by the end of the current school year, who plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college, university, vocational or trade school. This scholarship is intended for students who have taken a break in education before completing post-secondary training (thus, are taking a non-traditional route.) Current Custer High School seniors and students continuing at a school immediately following high school and consecutive years following are not eligible for this scholarship.

Write an essay between 500-750 words. Include your career plans & goals, community activities & special circumstances to be considered. Highlight how continuing education will improve your career opportunities.

Attach two (2) letters of recommendation from individuals who know you well & can attest to your character, work ethic & personal qualities. If you have work experience, one reference must come from an employer or supervisor.

Under no circumstances may family members serve as a reference.
